Magnificent black and white photograph of Shelton Square in 1900 downtown Buffalo. This picture also features St. Paul’s Cathedral and the Prudential Building on the left, as well as vintage automobiles parked on the street and horsedrawn carriages. There are a number of pedestrians in typical period garb walking around. Unfortunately, much of this gorgeous architecture was razed in the 1960s.
The image has been meticulously restored to remove stray marks and imperfections from the scanned version of the original Detroit Publishing Company photograph. Photograph courtesy of the Library of Congress.
